EA App for Mac needs to be downloaded again after update

After every update of the EA App for MAC, I have to completely reinstall the app because it stops working. Recently, it was the case that the app would open, but immediately afterward it requested to be closed again due to the update. Then the download started, but nothing else happened. When I reopened the app, the same message appeared again.
