Change of Currency

I opened Sims 4 today for the first time in a while. I wanted to purchase the new kits and noticed that the currency has changed. Before, the currency was in English pounds via EA app and Sims 4 but now the prices are showing in dollars. I know that I can still purchase the kits but it will now charge me the price with the exchange rate and could be more expensive. Why has the currency changed. It was always in £s. How can I change it back?

    Moppie1961​ This occurred because you had a VPN enabled and were likely connected to a server in the USA. As a result, the EA app detected your location as the USA and displayed prices in a different currency. Now that you’ve turned off the VPN, the app recognises your actual location and shows prices in your local currency. :)

    Yes but I have turned it off and it still shows pounds.
