They're full of crap and in denial that the issue is with them. I ran a download on steam, where it shows a graph of your download speed, and in 10 minutes, it didn't drop once. Did the same with the EA app and it dropped to 0 M/b three timmes in 5 minutes then came up with the error.
Asked a friend to do the same and they had the same issue.
its seems to be happening to quite a few people....but lets blame it on everyones ISP instead of fix the issues with the EA app lol. I have 1 gig internet speeds and and its still take a long time to get a download done due to it dropping to 0KB every few seconds then picking back up to full speed just to immediately drop again and it is NOT my ISP or network...its the EA APP

Testing this just now @firemagewally and pulling down a consistent speed without any drops.
Any time I have tested this after seeing reports I have not yet been able to recretae the issue. If the issue was with the EA app I would expect to see the issue pop up for me at least once.Issues like this, generally if an EA side issue would result in thousands if not tens of thousands of reports.
Looking at our internal tools and not seeing any issues which further points to it being a network or ISP issue for those seeing it.

I am experiencing the same downloading issue with more than one game (Apex Legends and Star Wars Squadrons) on the Origin PC app. It starts downloading and stops. I am using version 10.5.116.52126 - 773022 of the Origin app. The issue has been ongoing for weeks, I haven't reported it until now as I thought it would get resolved on its own but it hasn't. Has this issue been escalated to EA?

Any actual advice? ISP told me it's an EA issue, you blame the ISP everytime.
Only workaround I've found is running on about 10 hours and re-downloading everything piece by piece because - let me be clear - per my ISP, the app keeps dropping my connection.
This forces me to spend 5-20 minutes just trying to set-up downloading something, connection drops during download, and a reset has to be done - rinse and repeat until I get a server error (8 times in one sitting now) that forces me to go through app recovery, clear cache, restart the computer, and start over.
Again - any actual advice since it's not my ISP?

Exactly! The only way I can get the crap app to load is by signing into EA & Sims3 store first. Then start the App and it takes for ever to load, if it even loads at all. Denial runs deep with these ppl. Bad enough their app is crap but, then they try to blame us. I never had a problem like this with Origin or anything else for that matter. But gee must be my system....NOT!
