EA app not launching sims 4

When i start the sims 4 game, the game won't launch and will only take me to the EA app again, with no information about why this happened. No error messages. I have tried clearing cache, restarting the game entirely and repairing the game.

  • Having the same problem.  I've tried all of these things. 

    - Uninstalling EA App
    - Updating EA app
    - repairing EA app
    - uninstalling and reinstalling the game
    - verifying the game files through STEAM
    - Clearing Cache in EA app
    - rebooting the computer repeatedly

    Hoping someone will help us with this.  

  • camiblahoo 08054d2340290d6e  Please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, if you can get that far.

    If that doesn't help, please let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.  For Windows, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
