EA app not responding

hi, EA app saying that it wants to make changes and needs password before I am able to open the app. It won't accept my password. I have changed my password many times. It doesn't accept password and is saying that app is not responding. Using MacBook. Have deleted and redownloaded app and still not working. Help please
