I've played Sims 4 online many times since upgrading from origin to the EA app. Today my internet is out and I can't play. Given the amount of money we spend to play this game how is this such a recurring issue? How can I get around the EA app and play offline?
@Daethian The EA Desktop App doesn't have an offline mode yet, so you won't be able to use it unless you're online. Origin still works offline though, and you can have Origin and the Desktop App installed at the same time. You can't have both open at the same time, so if you get an error message about that, either kill the EA Background Service within the Task Manager or just restart your computer.

It's getting close to a year later now from these replies and the EA App now does have a Go Offline feature. You can go offline. That much you can do. What you can't do, apparently, is launch anything. So that's useless. The Origin app does still work though.
It's late 2023 and The Sims 4 still won't launch even with EA in offline mode. I miss Origin, Origin never had these problems.
Late 2024 and still no. This should have been changed by now.
