- 3 years ago@EA_Barry Or the EA company could produce a proper working launcher like Epic or Steam. Yet this company is incompetent to do that or make a game that isnt a money grab or full of issues day one. You listed six things to do to try and resolve the issue just so the person can play a game. This company is truly a disappointment not just to gamers but the industry as a whole.

fr, every time I play the sims I either have to update or do an hour of troubleshooting to get it to actually run, usually both. i can barely even enjoy gameplay anymore

One helper from EA told me to get a new computer…. But why??
after a lot of Google is finally found out that I had to update my DirectX on my pc. Now the EA as launched and I can login -- 2 years ago
I have the most up to date direct X and still happens. I just reformatted my pc and updated everything. Still same problem.
Cant we just go back to origin? It was terrible also but atleast it worked sometimes!

Hoping your app has begun to work for you because that is a long time to go without your games. I use a software called driver reviver(its free). It will scan all of your drivers and update them for you(you update them individually in free version and if you buy it, it updates all drivers at once). It immediately fixed the black screen issue for me after updating a few outdated items. I don't know if this will work for everyone as from what I've read, ea app is pretty fragile... which definitely tracks lol Anyway, if this doesn't help, I'm sorry... but I'm hoping it does!!

Doing the same for me, gone through all the fixes in the fixed thread. Still showing blank screen. Running on Windows 11 on my PC, tested on my laptop which is running Windows 10 and works fine

I had the same problem. I am on windows 10. I clicked on the menu(3 lines in the upper left corner) then clicked view, then clicked reload page and it is running fine now

Ive done all of this and nothing has fixed this for me. I cant access any of the games. goes straight to a blank screen. Rather than trying to get us to fix EA problems, it would be nice if EA didnt have software written by a 5 year old.

This is 100% my problem. I've tried ALL these solutions to no avail.

@EA_Barry Are you guys at EA working on this problem? do you have any other solutions or is it just copy and paste the same steps which don't work then never return to help again? EA needs to seriously fix this issue.

I AM STILL HAVING THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE SPENT HUNDREDS ON GAMES THAT I CANNOT OPEN. NO ONE WILL HELP. FIX SOMETHING.
