ea app opens to blank screen

1. Find the local where EA App is installed (right click an open file location).
2. Find EADesktop.exe in the same folder.
3. Right click EADesktop.exe and go to properties.
4. Go to compatibility and uncheck the box "run as administrator".
5. Apply and close.
Run EA App and be happy :-)

I had been using the EA app with no issues since switching from Origin, then suddenly today I start to have this issue. It mostly gets stuck on a blank sign-in screen, although once it did load the actual app window but everything was blank so I couldn't do anything. I've tried all the suggestions on this thread and others and nothing works. It seems people have been experiencing this issue for several months at the very least and it still isn't fixed. I'm very unimpressed.
I've been having the same issue this week , just seeing a blank screen. I keep trying the EA help suggestions and nothing works, I really wish they'd fix this, people send too much money on games to have EA hold them hostage!
