EA App Overlay Not Showing for ME 3

Summarize your bug Can't see EA app overlay when playing Mass Effect 3 multiplayer.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch Mass Effect 3 multiplayer through the EA app and see if you have the overlay.
What happens when the bug occurs? You don't get the overlay when trying to invite friends
What do you expect to see? I need to see the overlay when sending a friend invite.

When my daughter plays Mass Effect 3 multiplayer she can't invite me because she doesn't get the overlay. The overlay option is turned on in the app before she launches the game and then immediately after she launches the game the overlay option is grayed out. Last night we tried to play multiplayer with another online friend who was just forced to the new app and she didn't have the overlay either and couldn't join my game. My computer seems fine and I do run discord with the game. I am the only one who can invite into games now because for some reason my overlay works.

    We found the fix from another thread. We disabled the Nahimic service in Windows 10. This is an enhanced audio driver commonly found on a Dell computer. Audio didn't seem to change with this service disabled. Now the overlay works!

    We found the fix from another thread. We disabled the Nahimic service in Windows 10. This is an enhanced audio driver commonly found on a Dell computer. Audio didn't seem to change with this service disabled. Now the overlay works!

    Bless your heart... no response from anyone at EA for this problem, but this is the solution. I did have to change my sound drivers to "Direct Sound" since Team Speak was using the nahimic service drivers by default. 

    Once I changed that I was back to trolling reapers with friends.

    PS: my system is not a Dell, but one I built around a ASUS MB and MSI Geforce RTX card. I'm going to look into the origins of the service.

    I'm having this issue now as well. I'm in windows 11. I'm unable to find that nahimic service to disable. Has anyone found a fix. Will continue to search on other threads

    I also want to say a HUGE thank you for this. I really wanted to pick up ME3 multiplayer again, and this was stopping me from playing with my friend. Disabling is worked, thank you!!
