EA App Update Loop, Cannot Access the Sims 4

What is your current game version number? I don't know, I cannot access that with these update requirements
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, City Living, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University, High School Years, Strangerville, Fashion Street Kit, Basement Treasures Kit
What happens when the bug occurs? Stuck in update required loop
What do you expect to see? Ability to have EA App not give me a popup and let me run Sims 4
Have you installed any customisation with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes, though they aren't causing this.

Please describe the patch or change you made. I am playing after a few months so idk.

I try opening EA app to launch Sims 4, it says it requires an update. I press update and it does just that, but when the app comes back, it says there is a mandatory update is required to stay online. I press download on that update, and it presumably does just that. The EA app then opens up again with the exact same mandatory update message, and now it loops. I have attempted to restart the app and repair it from the dropdown menus in the menu bar to no avail. Why must you be like this EA app.
