It says "Check your internet connection while we try to reconnect you, or launch one of you installed games to play offline". When I click on The Sims 4 box nothing happens. So did I just spend $80 on expansions I can't play?
I want the option to play offline. Ea tells me I have to go online so I can select "offline" to play. Really? REALLY?
My internet is wonky the last few days. When it goes out, I CAN'T log on to tell EA I want to play offline. This is ridiculous. I OWN THIS GAME. If I choose to play offline I should be able to play offline unless I want to go to the gallery. Not being able to access something I own outright is totally unacceptable.
When I'm in offline mode and press the play button for the Sims 4, nothing happens. Does EA Desktop still not have offline mode?
I originally downloaded the game through Steam, and have been playing offline through Origin no problem on Windows 10. I did go online the other day when it prompted me to download EA app. I am currently signed in and my games show up offline, but nothing happens when I click on the game icon on the offline mode screen of EA app. Really hope there's a fix because I don't have a consistent internet connection
@Chrstimm90 Do you play the Steam version? Does the game work when online? Did the game ever work? I've never tried the off line mode in the EA app. If you just installed the game you have to run the game online to activate it the first time. I have the game running on three computers. My old gaming rig which is Windows 10 and two new computers which are Windows 11. I am presently using Origin because of issues I had about 10 days ago with the EA app.
