I think I was having the same problem, and I think I found a solution. I found the EAUpdater app in the folder the launcher is in (easily navigated to by right clicking the desktop icon and opening file location), and used that. It updated, then I was able to open the EALauncher again.

This worked for me, thank you!
The fix that worked for me was to use the EA Uninstaller app and clicked repair when it asks do you want to uninstall or repair.

I find it irritating that software just doesn't load and gives you no indication as to why
I've tried all the solutions mentioned here, and no help. App still won't run or open. The EA updater (in a command prompt) says it's updated. I've contacted support twice. They tried to guide me trough all the common solutions although I've clearly stated in detail everything I've tried. Any solutions since last post, perhaps?
same here, I cant start the EA app for 5 days, nothing works, what is this joke? Im on steam for over 12 years never have I had a problem like this
