EA app won't launch on Mac

I'm trying to launch the EA app on my Mac. The EA icon appears in the Dock with a dot underneath it but the EA window never appears. Last night, the window appeared, but no content loaded so I was unable to launch the game. Today, I don't even see the window. Honestly, I don't care about the app, I just want to launch my locally-installed game but I can't even do that. 

If this is the way the EA app is going to be, we should be able to launch the game offline and bypass the app.
