EA app won't open on my Mac

Hello!

So, my EA app used to work..  Then I tried to download a mod for The Sims 4..  I ended up fudging with the files a bit to try and get it to work but now my EA app won't even open!  I have updated my Mac to the newest system, I have deleted and reinstalled the app a million times, I have restarted my computer about a million times.  Yesterday I spent 4 hours scouring the internet and forums looking for a solution.  Today I contacted Apple Support and they couldn't even help me!!  My privacy settings are as they should be.  Everything seems "normal", and yet.  When I click on the app, it might bounce around on the dock a couple times but ultimately, stops bouncing and nothing happens.  What do I do?!  Please help!
