EA Desktop App not syncing owned games

The EA desktop app is not displaying games I own when they are shown as owned on my EA account and steam. This is what I believe that is preventing me from launching star wars squadrons. I spoke with 3 different people over the course of several hours and accomplished nothing. They told me to make a post on these forums to hope the devs can fix this issue.
