Hello,
I would like to ask about the missing game in the "new" EA app. I've had The Sims 4 through Steam for a while now, and used to launch the game through Origin. I haven't played in a long time and now when I updated Origin to EA app, my Sims 4 are not in the library. When I try to turn on the game via Steam, it tells me to install Origin... So do I have to have both Origin and the EA app installed (if it's and for how long it even will be possible), or I won't be able to play my Sims anymore?
Thanks for answer.
@TetsuRK800 Supposedly you should be able to play The Sims 4 (that you bought through Steam and played using Origin) in the new EA App. However, it seems like it's still in the works. I've talked to two EA chat supports already and they both told me that EA will update Origin users as soon as a solution is at hand. For now I was recommended to use Origin again. Luckily, I was able to find a way to download and reinstall Origin for Windows.

My Steam purchased game, It Takes Two, was doing the exact thing. Used to work in Origin, doesnt appear in the EA App, still available in Steam.
When I launch it from Steam, it installed the Origin client because the EA App had uninstalled it. The game eventually loaded. My concern going forward is what if EA stops recognizing the Steam linked Origin login/use?

"What if EA stops recognizing the Steam linked Origin login/use?"
It's groundless. I think that everything that is now in Steam from EA and requires Origin will continue to require it. The new products will require the EA app, the "old" ones may also be gradually transferred to the EA app, but probably not all. Almost the same thing was said by EA_Illium above.
