EA Play subscription not recognized by EA Desktop

You mentioned that you purchased EA Play though your Xbox account. 

If you purchased EA Play for your Xbox account, then you can only use EA Play on your Xbox and not on EA Desktop. Could you check in your Xbox Store to see you have an EA Play subscription active there?

To make use of EA Play through the EA app, you will have to purchase the subscription through the EA app.

I just stated the same issue to the live chat, but I've done my subscription via Steam. The platform's the same, as it is on PC tho. My Steam account is connected with my Origin one. The one helping me out in live chat told me that a lot of players are currently reporting this issue, nothing else. If you're meant to subscribe twice to use EA Play on two different softwares but on the same platform, I might say, that's just really audacious of you guys. I hope that this issue can be solved, not just waved through.

When you have purchased EA Play for Steam, then EA Play will only be available for Steam. You purchase EA Play for a specific platform and it won't carry over to other platforms. 

Yeah, well, you can't upgrade to EA Play Pro on Steam. I don't know, if you don't want people to spend you more money, then that's what it is, I guess. Just tell your support that they won't look further into that issue and just tell you straight up what the deal is.

so is mine, I'm using steam, and once I bought it through steam and then after that happened when I log into my EA account it still says buy the subscription; I try to go through this process again but the fact I own it by steam makes that webpage not display the option of the plan since I already own the EA-PLAY... so basically what happened is my EA account doesn't recognize that I've already bought the subscription, even though I play some EA games right from the steam... help?

I have EA Play through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and want to play these games on my PC but it says i need to buy EA Play which i already own
