EA Servers are down?

Today I've installed Battlefield V via Steam. Launched, the EA app installed and then nothing. Clicking "Play" does nothing.
As I researched, it does launch EA app (it's showing in the Task Manager). But there is no any windows opening on screen or in task bar.
At some point it launched, but said "Couldn't connect to EA". Then it redirected to login page. After logging in, the connection error page appeared again and then redirected to login page a second time.
After trying to launch EA app with VPN, it finally logged me in, but after a few seconds EA app showed "Offline connection".
Launching Battlefield V from EA app didn't give any results too, it just gave a message "To activate this game, the Internet connection is needed".

After doing some research, I saw that many people has the same problem for over 24 hours already. Is it really massive server error or the EA app just has been broken after some update? I bought the game to play it, not to sit and watch as it covers with dust... :(
