I've been trying to play Sims 4 after buying and installing today, and get an EC:10005 error no matter what I do. I have:
Cleared the cache
Tried running as admin
Checked all of my firewall and virus blocker settings
Verified integrity of files through Steam
Tried launching through both Steam and EA directly
Confirmed that Steam account is connected appropriately
Verified that my wi-fi is functional and working as expected
Zero issues with anything else, and servers appear to be up and running according to EA. About to just return everything since I can't even play it.

EC:10005 indicates a network issue, so please try these connection troubleshooting steps, particularly by using a different DNS server or testing if the error appears while on mobile hotspot. Do you have the McAfee extension? Disabling that and restarting the EA App helped some players avoid this error code. Thanks!
