Yes and no on fixing it. I also have an NZXT computer. My previous computer died on me, so I took it to a repair shop but the guy wasn't able to save it. What he DID save was all my my files and whatnot. So I went into my folder of stuff he had saved and found the old installation download. Installed it that way. Found no way to download and install from the actual EA site. All of the 'fixes' they gave me was the exact same stuff that doesn't work.

I can't believe that worked...its such a simple solution to a seemingly BIG problem on NZXT new computers
(I have Player One NZXT with a few upgrades)
I've spoken to NZXT customer service to try troubleshooting as well
First if you haven't already...
Clear %temp% Files by deleting everything in that folder
Open "This PC" and find the folder "Windows"
Create a new folder called "installer", all lowercase and no spaces
If you further have issues,
Reinstall (.NET 8.0 Runtime) or (.NET 6.0 Runtime) if older version works better for your PC
This worked for me and ill let NZXT know this is a common problem with their computers.
Let me know if this DIDNT work for you!

None of these suggestions worked for me. At this point I'm considering pirating the sims expansions because I'm tired of trying to simply download an app! 🤔

Unfortunately with games that come from EA, you have to download the app in order to play. For instance I have Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Sims4, and Spore, all that I bought through steam and is in my steam library. However, it is still an EA game and forces you to launch their game through the app.
