I'm just trying to play while my internet is down but it won't open without opening the ap that tells me to log in! what am I supposed to do? I should be able to play the game I own offline!

I agree! You should not have to have internet to play a game off-line! (expensive game at that)

Open the EA App click the three bars and then click Go Offline.
