[FIXED] Sims 4 - "Double-check your connection" or "Game License is Invalid"

I keep getting a pop up that says failed to launch game do to connection or try again later. I've tried deleting the chache, disabling servces, updating my computer, restarting the app, repairing the...

Summarize your bug Game simply will not launch.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Idk? just try and launch The Sims 4 from my laptop?
What happens when the bug occurs? I get a progress bar for "launching game" that never finishes. Instead, a box comes up stating "Failed to Launch Game. Double-check your connection, or try again later."
What do you expect to see? The Game launching and starting up

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I have not been able to launch my game from the EA App ever since I was forced to switch from Origin. I managed to load the game from a desktop icon as a work around, but that stopped working last night. Now, when I either click the icon or "Play" in the App, I get a progress bar for "launching game" that never finishes. Instead, a box comes up stating "Failed to Launch Game. Double-check your connection, or try again later." I have tried everything I can think of and could find to try and solve this.
I have:
Repaired both App and Game
Uninstalled and Reinstalled both App and Game
Removed all Mods
Restarted and updated my computer
Updated and reinstalled my Graphics Drivers
Removed the Sims 4 folder from the Electronic Arts folder and attempted a clean launch of the game.
Forced EA background services to shut down and restarted the App.

My internet is good, I have Fiber Optic internet and am hardwired in via an ethernet cable so my connection is FINE. I am just at a loss, I have opened a Help ticket through EA and thus far they have been zero help. This game is my happy place, where I go to escape and unwind because my work is very chaotic and stressful but in this Sim-world I am in control. I have every single DLC and have been playing for over 8 years and thus have THOUSANDS of hours logged. I am absolutely devastated that I may have lost this lone bastion of safety and solace in my life.

@Sandra111390 I feel your pain. I use the game as an escape as well and haven't been able to get in for a week now. I bought a new computer last year just to play the Sims and went through heck with it. Finally got it working properly and now this.....

  I downloaded Sims 3 to play while this issue is being fixed and it's the same story there too.... it won't launch.
  I just want to play the Sims! 😭

  Hi all, I also had the same issue today, spent many hours on tech support.
  I managed to find a workaround however. Since I only ever ran it on the EA app, I had never run it on steam. The base game on steam is free to download. Once you download it, you can link your steam version to the EA app. Then once the two are linked, it will automatically start to link all your DLCs from EA (no need to buy all these again - just give it some time to process). I've managed now finally, after many hours to play again 🙂

    Going to try this solution asap. Do you have specific step-by-step instructions on how to link the two? I'm not great at following instructions if they aren't 100% clear and don't miss anything out.

@Sandra111390 Yep - same here. I even restore system to previous date when everything worked - after uninstalling EA app and the game. And, as instructed somewhere here - I created a new Windows admin user acct - then reinstalled the EA app and Sims 4 after reloading apps through the firewall and disabling the antivirus --- absolutely nothing worked. It's depressing.
