Game update stuck - couldn't connect to internet error

I am having a hard time with the new Sims 4 update. The updater gets stuck at 1 %. It then gives a message that the EA app could not connect to the internet.  I have cleared the cache several times to no avail. What else can I try?

    Hi there! 
    Since November 7th, 2025, I’ve been unable to download the Delicate Style Kit (SP25) from the EA App.
    The message “No Internet Connection” appears, even though my internet connection is stable — all other Sims 4 packs and expansions download perfectly fine.

    I’ve already tried every troubleshooting step, including:
    • Clearing EA App cache (AppData and ProgramData)
    • Running App Recovery
    • Adding EA folders as exceptions in Windows Defender
    • Running the EA App as administrator
    • Renaming the SP25 folder
    • Restarting the PC and retrying the download

    The issue persists only for this kit.
    EA consultants (Rahul and Harsh) have confirmed this might be a server or authentication issue specific to SP25, and my case has been forwarded to the technical team.

    I purchased 10 kits, and one of them gives an error when downloading, is no more than 23% and gives the error: "no Internet connection". I have already restarted the computer, cleaning the app cache, started the app as administrator, I have already repaired the game, I have already uninstalled and installed the game, I have already uninstalled and installed the app, I have insisted on downloading, but it does not go forward; it pauses and does not return. I have checked and I am not experiencing problems with the internet, so much so that I managed to install all the others, except for this one. The only thing left to do is return the DLC and make the purchase again, but it doesn't show in the EA refund

    It's been resolved. I talked to the direct chat assistance, and we saw that the purchase wasn't recognized, waited for some time, and it worked
