Did you do the install of the Origin client after the EA client was installed? If your last install was the EA client, It'll remove the Origin Client. That's why you need to do the Origin client install last. It should create that 'local.xml' file once it's installing--you log in--and it updates to point of having EA app message. If it's not there....I'd suspect a faulty installation of the Origin client and you may need to uninstall / re-install the Origin client again.
@Mardoin69I realised my mistake, I managed to fix it now. I was originally looking in my program files so I didn't see the actual ProgramData folder instead. I've literally loaded in and already got two of the three achievements I have left. Thank god.
