I cannot link/connect my Prime Gaming to EA ... Please help!

Hi there, I've been sent here from EA support chat, because we've exhausted all options for the issue I have:

I cannot link my Amazon Prime Gaming account to my EA account to claim Twitch Prime loot for Battlefield 2042.

I've tried all options: changing passwords, cleared browser cache, tried different browsers etc etc, always comes to the same error message as you can see in the first attachment.

Under Connections on the EA Account site, there was an Authorized Application from prime gaming, sadly I've revoked the access in order to relink it somehow before I remembered that I should've taken a screenshot; it was authorized a couple of years ago, that much I remember.

No matter what I try, it is always the same result: "

Something went wrong...

To continue linking your EA Account to Amazon, head back to Amazon and start over."

The only thing I haven't checked before today was, if it says that I'm at least linked to EA on Amazons site, which apparently I am, I even relinked it just to try to make sure there is no issue there ( as you can see in the second attachment, Amazon recognizes EA website as connected ). But none of that helps, because when I try to link it from the EA site, OR from the Amazon Prime Gaming, same thing all over again and again ...

Please help me 🙂

Hi!

I'm GLAD to report, that I was able to claim the loot! Maybe there was an issue with the last one, but the latest one worked!

Hi @ChoiiBoy,

You should still be able to link your Twitch Prime account to your EA Account.

Link from your EA Account settings

Spoiler

Go to your EA Account settings. If you’re not already logged in, this is where you’ll log in.

From your EA Account settings, click Connections.

Scroll down and find Twitch, then click Link.

You might be asked to verify your account by entering a security code.

If you’ve set up App Authenticator, we'll send your security code to your phone.

If you haven't set it up, you'll get your code via email.

Log in to your Twitch account, or sign up to create a new Twitch account.

Click Authorize, and you’ll be taken to a new window. Click Link accounts.

You’ll now see that your EA Account and Twitch accounts are linked in Connections.

Make sure you’re logging in to the Twitch account where you want to watch streams and get rewards.

Click Authorize.

If you have Login Verification turned on, enter your security code and click Log In.

Click the Link Accounts button to link your EA and Twitch accounts.

Make sure you’re linking the right Twitch account to your EA Account—you can’t link another Twitch account later.

You'll get a notification that you're successfully linked.

You’ll now see that your accounts are linked in the Connections tab of your Twitch Settings. You should see Electronic Arts listed under Other Connections.

My Twitch and EA accounts are linked, they were linked for 3 years, at least that's what it said in Twitch settings. I've also disconnected and reconnected that link just to be sure. But when it comes to claiming my Twitch drops, the same thing happens!

Thanks for providing the screenshots, that's very helpful!

Since the accounts are already linked and you're being asked to link them again when claiming the content, that might be causing the error at the end. Have you tried unlinking them and then claim the content to then link during the claiming process?

I will try disconnecting again on Twitch, but if i unlink my Twitch account on EA, I will not be able to receive any drops for 6 months! ( as seen in attachment before unlinking )

It's important to note that, your EA Account can only be linked to one Twitch account in its lifetime.

This means if you unlink them, you can’t link to another Twitch account.

Knowing that, please be sure to use the same EA and Twitch account.

It would also be helpful if you tried claiming content for other EA games that you might play to see if that works, such as EA FC or Apex Legends.

Ok, I've tried reconnecting accounts again via Twitch while claiming and for some reason, that worked! There was no error this time, but when I try to claim the loot, all it does is the same process over and over again. It says now I'm connected but the loot is still not claimed! I am able to see that all my accounts are linked when I check under Connections tab (I see my Amazon/Twitch/Steam accounts all under connections on EA site ), without relinking Twitch account on EA site of course.

ok, great stuff!

Usually, when I claim my rewards from Twitch prime it takes a couple of hours to come through. So hopefully you will receive your rewards in a couple hours 🙂

Hello again, I'm back with sad news.
Its been a couple of days and nothing's changed. Loot was not claimed... As mentioned before, now its all linked, no errors, but every time I try to claim the loot, it just keeps forcing me to link account, and when I go trough the process, all is well but in the end it just puts me on the same window where it says get in-game content, when I click it, same old link account button...
