Impossible to launch Sims 4 without Internet connection

Product: The Sims 4 Platform:PC Which language are you playing the game in? English How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) What is your current game version number? I can't launch it, so...

@EA_Cade I'd really appreciate it if the intended design reverted back to allowing us to start the game offline without updating. I'd also appreciate the ability to access the EA App offline without having to update the app as well. I'd like to be able to access Sims 4 without having to update EA App or TS4 Game until I'm ready to do so, please! I usually like to wait until mods are updated before I update my game, so I play in offline mode a lot. Thank you!
