The EA app requires internet connection to open and log in. The sims4 has one online service and it is not necessary for gameplay/saving/ect. So why does the EA app have to launch every time I want to play the sims? If I open through the shortcut on my computer that is hosting all of the game files for this game why can it not launch without EA needing to open? Do you see how this is a problem? The Sims4 is a single player game with no multiplayer function needing EA servers. I should be able to play a game I spent hundreds of dollars on without being connected to the internet when my service goes down or I'm travelling. It is criminal to lock games like The Sims4 being an internet connection.
Origin was not a perfect app but it at least let me open The Sims4 when I was not connected to the internet whatsoever. I would like for someone to tell me why the EA app forced me to move away from Origin to an app that will not function without the internet.
