Impossible to launch Sims 4 without Internet connection

Product: The Sims 4 Platform:PC Which language are you playing the game in? English How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) What is your current game version number? I can't launch it, so...

@EA_Cade Im not trying to be rude but I have to ask you to please clarify this statement. It is by design that we cant access our Sims 4 game without internet now? I have every piece of dlc so I have paid a fortune to play this game. I live in a very rural area with limited internet, no cell phone access so no hot spot I can connect too. My internet is frequently going out. I deserve to access the game I paid for when my connection isnt working. Dont I? Again, Im not trying to be rude. Im just frustrated and trying to understand. Is there anything we can do to get into our game without internet on the ea app? Origin use to let us right on.

I think they did this "By Design" to weed out piracy.  There is no other reason in my book

    the more they try to implement anti piracy measures, the more pirates will up the ante' legit users will only put with so much inconvenience and will eventually stick two fingers up at EA and look elsewhere.

    Funny thing is, I've often contemplated going pirate to 1. Get rid of the EA App and 2. Be able to play without updating
