[INVESTIGATION] Games Stuck on "Launching Game" or "Preparing Game"

Hi all

Im having a load of troubles with the EA app.

As of this moment, i cannot launch any game. (Spore, Sims 3, Sims 4, or Sims Medeival)

1.) I have tried a few different things. Ive started a fresh install of all apps, fresh install of EA, Cleared cache, install only spore and only sims 4 base game, ive tried clearing it from task manager, and a few other things from youtube. It just seems to never load, and i dont get any errors, so i have no idea what to do.

2.) Spore used to kind of load, i installed it, then creepy and cute, then galactic. It sometimes said "installation error" while downloading and would continue with issue 1, or sometimes i got the error "a redistributable package (0x2ec02d4c.exe was not installed successfully" but a clean install fixed this. Still, it led to problem number 1.

I have read many articles and watched a bunch of videos that dont help or dont apply and im so lost, please help 😭

Same Problem here, my game starts for 1 sec, stays black, then goes back to EA

EDIT to my original post, I managed to fix spore. I had it on steam and copied over missing files the error told me i was missing. Now, the only thing that i cannot play is The Sims 4. tried the same hack i did with steam and it wont work. pretty bad i had to buy spore again just to fix it.

no matter what i do, the sims 4 will not load. I have reset cash, deleted and reinstalled the app, deleted reinstalled sims 4, i have run EA app as admin, run the sims as admin, added the sims to security exclusions and the sims to security exclusions, i have restarted my pc, turned off my wifi and nothing works.
When i hit play, the app loads then disappears, loads and pops back up. if i try to open the game from the EA folder, it says preparing game then just opens the EA app.

Funny thing is, when i switch the language to German, the game loads and everything perfectly but NOT in english at all.

My sims4 is getting start will trying to launch, and leads me back to the EA app. Ive tried everything, the UAC, administrator, cache, nothing changes it. What can I do?

EA_SolaireI'm jumping on this post as I'm having the same issue as well. I've tried every solution mentioned and nothing will work.

UPDATE: I fixed it!!! I tried seeing if Sims 3 would boot up and I got some errors saying certain files were not installed and that I should install them to get it to work. I downloaded the two exe files and it fixed Sims 3. I then tried it on Sims 4 and.... it worked!! Booted up no problem! I then installed the rest of my packs, opened it again, worked fine. Replaced my old save files into the new save file (that was generated after my attempts at uninstalling and installing over and over again) and booted the game up. Worked fine and everything is back!
The one thing I did do before downloading these exe files was completely delete the game, EA app, and all the associated Sims 4 files. I backed my saves up on an external drive. I then downloaded the game off of Steam and did not touch EA until it prompted me from Steam. Then I did the exe files.
I'm hoping if anyone is having this issue this could be a helpful fix for them!
