I've made the terrible mistake in automatically updating the sims 4

It's been like this for three days now and I tried everything. From installing the EA app to reinstalling it, no matter what I do it stays like this and yet the sims 3 game is working just fine. The thing is, I've been very frequent with my posts and I'd like to keep posting along with making my machinimas...I just don't know what to do anymore. So if you have any solutions please let me know and yes I know I shouldn't have updated in the first place....Thought this new pack was a kit then soon after downloading, I've noticed that it wasn't.
