Mass Effect Legendary Edition not updating achievements when moving to ME2

Summarize your bug Playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition on new EA app does not update achievements when moving from Mass Effect 1 to 2. I have collected most of my teammates in ME2 but 0 of the ME2 achievements have unlocked unlike ME1 where i was able to unlock most of them.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start ME2 from Legendary Edition menu and load saved game from ME1 and progress through game
What happens when the bug occurs? No achievements are unlocked.
What do you expect to see? Achievements to correctly complete as game progresses.

I confirmed my EA app is online and even tried going offline and online and did not fix the issue. I was unable to test if issue happened in Origin app as it was uninstalled when the EA app installed and i cannot find a download for it. I know achievements are not super important to some but i like to do 100% completions of games i really like and wanted to do it for my playthrough of Mass Effect again.

    @quickshots I think achievements at least for ME:LE are totally broken in the EA app, including Steam achievement functionality. They don’t unlock on either platform for me with the EA app, but having reinstalled origin it works fine.

    @YourLocalDeer  if you could please pm me where you can find a legit site for downloading origin again as i can't find it on EA site and searching google just leads to questionable places.

    It's not just that achievements are not carrying over due to the imports. The EA app is not tracking new achievements after Origin was replaced on my PC. Came here to see if there were people with similar issues but my guess is that ME LE needs to be launched either through the EA app or while you are logged into it for the achievements to be tracked.

    Im wondering if they fixed it at all, it seems that as of 2/22 that the Origin app must be uninstalled as far as I can tell. It is trying to force me to reinstall EA app (which I hate) so Im wondering if they fixed achievements at all for legendary edition.

    They probably don't know how.

    The Problem puts EA on the bottom of my gaming list. I am most likely not to buy or use any EA-APP bound games, I am reading the problems with this app...

    EA should've stay by Origin if they are incompetent to fix the bugs for at least half a year.

    Yeah the only workaround I found was installing origin again but now origin makes you run the EA app instead so RIP achievements for some games I guess.

    @NineLands no one form their side tried reaching out when I first posted so I only had the workaround posted from another user.

    The issue has not been fixed to date. it hasn't given ME2 achievement so far. And the Origins app does not work, there is only EA APP. It would be nice if they worked at EA sometimes, not just counting the money

    ME2 achievements initially worked then they stopped working part way through a playthrough.  Is there a fix yet?
