My sims 4 game won't update

I was playing a game and it randomly crash. After that my sims game says it requires and update but won't update when I click the continue button. I deleted all my mods and redownloaded the ea app. I also tried to uninstall the sims app but it won't respond when i click the uninstall button. Someone please help!!!
