Need For Speed Unbound not launching through Epic Games & EA App

Hey @hightorque have you tried launching the game from the EA app?

I’ve tried launching from EA app - it opens a little window saying “Launching game” with red progress bar but it doesn’t actually launch. (See attached image.)

My computer system, windows 11 and GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 are all up-to-date.

An update:

I've got the game working again. I uninstalled the game, deleted it off the computer completely, reinstalled it and I 'unticked' everything in the Properties > Compatibility folder for NeedForSpeedUnbound.exe file.

Epic Games Launcher still says 'Install' under NFS game even though it's fully installed so there's still a problem with the program recognising this game. The game is working again though so that's good news for me.

I have the same problem. What is the fix. Game will not launch. Just stays at the Launching Game screen in EA app and does not launch

You can open through epic games app , even though under the game poster it shoes "install".

For some reason its having trouble recognizing the game , but it works just fine.

Would love to know why EA refuses to fix their screw up from the drag and drifting update.  Dang game won't even launch.  Thinking maybe just getting a refund since they're so incompetant.
