New EA app installs demo version of game that i own full version of

Summarize your bug Cannot play Kingdoms of amalur: Reckoning due to demo version installing instead of full game and unable to login with my credentials on New EA app
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? login to my account and download it
What happens when the bug occurs? game installs as demo, if try to login get message: An unknown connection error occurred,
What do you expect to see? main game menu

I own full version of Kingdoms of amalur: Reckoning plus all the DLC. This worked fine on the old origin app. However since being forced to update to the EA app, on installing it only installs the demo version and when i try to login in game it wont accept either my EA UN and PW or Origin UN and PW (both being the same. On the product page it clearly shows i own the standard edition and also downloads all the DLC. I was advised there was an issue with this known at the time and to leave it for a couple of weeks. I have left it now for more than a month and also contacted several times still wont work. i am not sure if it means anything but i did used to have the demo on my origin account (tried before i bought it) please help

    Hey @jaspericus, 

    Apologies for the late response on this. 

    It looks like this issue should have been fixed in a recent EA app update. If you haven't had the chance to give it a shot recently, can you try installing Kingdoms of Amalur once again to see if it allows you to install the full game instead of the demo?

    Hi Kent, yes i can now download the base game but i still get the login error when i try to get the DLC to register for any of the DLC i own (and I own all of them and they have even been downloaded according to my account) I have tried loging in using both my curtrent EA / Origin UN and Pw and even my old passwords but it just keeps saying that there is an error connecting every time.

    @EA_Kent Not working. Only get the demo version. Game was uninstalled for several years. reinstalling nets the demo only.

    08-31-2024 - Just like the others only getting the demo and not the game I purchased. Wanted to play it a little over the holiday weekend but alas it's not to be.

    Update: I've found it's the only game I own that won't show me the installation path when I go to install it.

    I stumbled over the exact same error, i.e. I installed the EA app on my other computer (laptop for the easter holidys) and can only download the demo version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning though I own the full version and could install the full version on Origin. During my installation attempt I made a new installation path and created a new file folder to walkaround the neverending "calculating diskspace" loop.

    Help, please!
