Internet and Wi-Fi connection varies from time to time. Large games are not suitable for gaming companies, so do not blame the company that provides the Internet

Golly, at no time did I blame the company that provides the internet. I have Google Fiber and, as I said, other things were downloading much more quickly. I literally asked why EA seemed to be an exception, as have many people before me, with no resolution.
I got my first PC in 1991 so yeah, I'm fully aware of the variations with the internet, but this is exceptional. GF never gives the 1G they advertise but at least it's usually NOT like this.
I've been playing The Sims for 25 years so have been through many iterations of Maxis, EA, Origins, EA again.... and especially with the last two, things like this coming up. This is a new PC using Windows 11 (which I frankly dislike) so I'm also musing as to whether there are issues with Win 11 that might cause downloading problems. My previous PC ran Win10 and downloading the Sims was never this slow.
