Same problem here, I would use the old origin launcher but that is not an option anymore. This happened to Command & Conquer Generals 2( May 26, 2013) too, they are good at killing off games that they shouldn't.

Hey guys.
I don't know if this fix your problem or not but here is what I did.
I set to run Anthem as Administrator. Then go to EA app, on your left side at the "installed game", hovering your mouse over Anthem and click the "blue" run button right there, don't click on Anthem then click "Play", don't start with short cut. It works for me.
I have been having this same issue for several weeks now. I've tried several proposed solutions and nothing works.
