Hey guys.
I don't know if this fix your problem or not but here is what I did.
I set to run Anthem as Administrator. Then go to EA app, on your left side at the "installed game", hovering your mouse over Anthem and click the "blue" run button right there, don't click on Anthem then click "Play", don't start with short cut. It works for me.
I have been having this same issue for several weeks now. I've tried several proposed solutions and nothing works.

ok i got fix, there is nothing you can do on your side. its something wrong with game version on new app. you will need to speak with them over chat, and explain what is going on. they tweak something on my account, and it worked. on app it said that i have legion of dawn owned but i never owned that, and i could upgrade it when i click on addons which is weird if i have already. They change it to standard edition, what i actually had and i can lunch game with np after that.
So conclusion is, talk with them over chat, they will change something with your game version and it should work. All of this work arounds will not work.
They were really nice over the chat and it took maybe 10min. Now its working flawlessly over the new app

They said there's nothing wrong account-wise for me and told me to come over here and post "I'M hAvInG tHe SaMe IsSuE" for nothing to be done about it because the game is old and has few players, making them no money, so they don't care.

So there should be no problem in requesting a refund of every purchase I have made, since they are refusing to assist with accessing the products we paid access for.

I just spoke to them, and after an eternity of confriming email address with a code and lots of other bs, the ONLY thing they said, was "clear your cache", with a link to how to do it (help -> app recovery -> clear cache).
Didn't work at all.
