ok i got fix, there is nothing you can do on your side. its something wrong with game version on new app. you will need to speak with them over chat, and explain what is going on. they tweak something on my account, and it worked. on app it said that i have legion of dawn owned but i never owned that, and i could upgrade it when i click on addons which is weird if i have already. They change it to standard edition, what i actually had and i can lunch game with np after that.
So conclusion is, talk with them over chat, they will change something with your game version and it should work. All of this work arounds will not work.
They were really nice over the chat and it took maybe 10min. Now its working flawlessly over the new app
They said there's nothing wrong account-wise for me and told me to come over here and post "I'M hAvInG tHe SaMe IsSuE" for nothing to be done about it because the game is old and has few players, making them no money, so they don't care.

So there should be no problem in requesting a refund of every purchase I have made, since they are refusing to assist with accessing the products we paid access for.

And after one week all the same again, my game change to legion of dawn edition and doesnt work again...

I have tried every single 'fix' people have put out there for the last 2 days to no avail. They forced me to get rid of Origin and use EA Desktop and now I can't play Anthem. Titanfall 2 launches perfectly fine. I am confused.

I need to add my name to this list. Every fix I have tried here hasn't worked either. Just because they don't support the game anymore doesn't mean we shouldn't be able to play it anymore. However I am starting to think it is EA's inability to code a proper Desktop APP that is causing the real issue. So glad I don't depend on them for my Game Library I play consistently.

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for sharing your workarounds and experience with Anthem on the EA App.
I wanted to confirm if anyone is still experiencing this issue. If so please try the following first.
Spoiler- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
- EGS - Repair (Library > Tile dots > Manage > Verify)
- Steam - Verify in your library
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for Anthem
- Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game

I am still having this issue on the EA App, North America. I have tried all steps provided in this post and it has not changed anything, I am still just getting the "Your game failed to launch" error with the option to get the game. I attached the DxDiag report. Please give us an update when this issue is resolved, I would love to play some Anthem on PC.
It is also worth noting that when I try to launch Anthem on Xbox, it works great, so this definitely is an EA app issue.

@EA_IlliumInterestingly, back in EA App beta, over a year ago, the Legion of Dawn version of Anthem wasn't available, just the base version. I suspect that I was able to play only because I had purchased the add-on for the Legion of Dawn items separately. A version of Anthem was running on EA App back then, just not all versions. For me, Anthem also failed to repair using EA App a few days ago, it would get to the end, and fail.

Tried all of things many times, it doesn't work. Game works perfect on old app, but when you install old app you can play only once then it force update to new one and you cant play anymore. Then you need reinstall old app every time when you want to play...
Problem is in version of the game, Legion of dawn version doesn't work for me and many others. I talked on chat to resolve this, and one of you helped me with changing in my account version of the game, he put on standard version and it worked perfectly for few days. Then for some reason went back to legion of dawn version and again same problem. So when its standard version works with no problem, but legion of dawn doesn't work with new app. I attached error screenshot and dxdiag. It definitely app problem. If you can downgrade my game to standard edition permanently im up for that, just want to play.
Its been like this for months, please do something about it!

@EA_IlliumI'm playing Anthem on PC in Europe region as French. I'm getting the message " your game failed to launch" ( in french sure ).
I was not playing anthem anymore, I connected my self the 04/13/2023 and its not working since this day with all the time the same error, i tried every possible solution on the internet even clean boot my pc, nothing work its a problem from ea app that's all but please help us we're thousands of players waiting to play anthem so please fix this for us. - 3 years ago

@EA_Illium Any update on this? I Cannot play any games on the launcher now. Extremely frustrating and disappointing with the lack of communication.

Date this issue started (is it still happening?)? When I last played it, launched it from Origin, it worked fine, that was long time ago. Now I decided to revisit this game, had to install EA Desktop app and game does not launch. Issue is still active.
Is anything else happening? There is game edition mismatch. I bought Standard Edition (preorder), Origin showed Standard Edition, but EA app shows Legion of Dawn Edition.

I have tested a lot of possible sollutions:1. Rapaired game files.2. Cleared cache.3. Reinstalled EA app.4. Clean boot.5. Reinstalled game itself.6. Reinstalled VC runtime packages.7. Checked video drivers for update.8. Again cleared cache.9. Gived administrator right to EALauncher.exe EADesktop.exe and runing EADesktop from folder.10. Created new Windows user and reinstalled EA app and game.None of those actions helped to launch the game.Tested another method found in wild web. Installed Origin 10.5.119.52718, added 4 lines in one config file. Launched Origin, it found already installed Anthem game files, verified game files. Did not download anything and I could simply launch the game.Noticed another bugs/issues - last Origin game session does not show up in EA app. Another one that game play time mismatch - Origin shows 191 hours played, last played on May 21, 2023, but EA app shows that I have played for 214 hours 40 mins, last played December 11, 2022.So there is mismatch in game editions, game play times and last played date.That simply means, that problems with EA app not launching my game is not on my PC, it is app itself or issues are on EA servers.By writing this I realized that I have another edition of game on Xbox. On Xbox I own Anthem Legion of Dawn edition, but on PC I own Anthem Standard Edition.
