Hey Everyone,
Thanks for sharing your workarounds and experience with Anthem on the EA App.
I wanted to confirm if anyone is still experiencing this issue. If so please try the following first.
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
- EGS - Repair (Library > Tile dots > Manage > Verify)
- Steam - Verify in your library
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for Anthem
- Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game

Are you getting an error message? Yes. "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later."
Date this issue started (is it still happening?)? When I last played it, launched it from Origin, it worked fine, that was long time ago. Now I decided to revisit this game, had to install EA Desktop app and game does not launch. Issue is still active.
Is anything else happening? There is game edition mismatch. I bought Standard Edition (preorder), Origin showed Standard Edition, but EA app shows Legion of Dawn Edition.
