Origin/EA not installed but not

When I try to start sims, says origin is not installed, but when I try to reinstall the app it says it’s already installed. Not sure why or how this came about, it played fine yesterday  

I’ve tried repairing and restarting my computer. I’ve cleaned out every mention of EA in my programs and files, and finished off with using ccleaner because that’s what the internet told me to do. Not sure where to go from here but overall very frustrated bc it seems this app is continuously giving me solvable problems.
