Pack stuck on preparing in EA App for Mac

I have a Mac but Origin keeps telling me to upgrade to the EA app, even though there isnt one for mac, I havent been able to play ANY of my games when i did update, and they have been 'preparing' to ...

Hey everyone,

In addition to what @Bluebellflora has stated above, if you're still running into this issue please first make sure you're on the latest EA app version available (this is v13.166 at the time of writing); then provide an EA Error Report in this thread if possible so we can track this issue appropriately. The EA app for Mac should automatically update itself. However, you might need to reboot the app or perform an App Recovery for the update to trigger.

please provide download link for EA app for Mac, as origin is still not updating and the steps you provided to trigger an update through app recovery do not apply to origin.

this is one of the worst rollouts ive ever seen in modern history.
