Basically lost everything

Question

I was trying to clear storage on my computer's drive so I moved the EA App's files to the external drive which the app can access. I can see all my sims 4 files in there, all my information that I know of, but I boot up the game and there's nothing. None of my played saves, basically none of the sims/households I saved to my gallery (except one displayed on my profile), nothing. And the app isn't remaining open when I open the game so I have no idea if that is why or if it was something stupid I did. I tried a lot of things (repairing the app, moving the files around again, etc) except straight up uninstalling the app and reinstalling. I am genuinely at a loss. I just want to be able to play those saves again, have those sims back.

Most of my sims stuff is kept on the external drive and it's always plugged into my laptop. Please help me, I desperately want this fixed.

As for the EA App, if you're running Windows, I'd suggest doing a clean uninstall of the App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) before reinstalling it yet again.

Revo uninstaller? Never heard of it. What makes it different from just uninstalling normally? And yes, I am on Windows.

AutumnPirate​&nbsp; Most apps create hidden files, for example registry entries and content in ProgramData or AppData.&nbsp; A regular uninstall sometimes removes some of this, but rarely all of it.&nbsp; Some of these files can prevent a game from working, for example the License folder is hidden, and a corrupt license file for a particular game can make the EA App think you don't own it.
Revo is one tool that looks for these files and deletes them too, and it's free and reliable and easy to use, which is why I suggest it when someone might need to do a clean uninstall of a game or the EA App.&nbsp; I've used it myself to remove Sims 3 and 4 a number of times, mostly for testing, and haven't found a problem yet.&nbsp; That doesn't mean it's always necessary, and you can of course try the normal uninstall process first, but if it doesn't work, it's time to try something more thorough.
