Packs Unavailable even though I own them.

I don't understand, yesterday my game was working just fine and i exit the game for a bit. I get back on and it won't let me resume my game. It said I required the "Cats and Dogs pack" which I already own. I then tried to log out of my EA account, then log back in, restart my computer, looked up tutorials how to fix it, EA doesn't give me the option to "repair" my sims game when I right click on the sims Icon or click on "manage." When I clicked manage the only option it gave me was "manage add-ons" I clicked on it but it wouldn't let me click on any of my packs it only let me close out of that tab. I know that my mods aren't the problem because I went to my settings and turned off my mods got back in the game and it still said I didn't own the packs. And when I went to pack selection and tried to  select my packs, it says it is unavailable. I've literally tried everything.

this is proof that I own these packs

  • i've been having the same thing, looked everywhere, found a couple people asking for help and no answers which was disappointing

what worked for me was moving the pack files to the sims file under steam. if you dont have both ea and steam packs this probably wont be the answer. you can google the file names for your specific packs, i think they are all 2 letters followed by 2 numbers (ex. holiday celebration is FP01)

    og path: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4

    moved to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4

then i restarted my computer, you could probably just restart ea, steam and the sims

its also possible you could just move the whole ea file from Program Files to Program Files (x86) but im not sure

hope this works for you :)
