Summarize your bug Patch for Sims 4 downloaded and got stuck at "Download complete." Restarting EA Desktop didn't work so I went and installed the patch with Origin. EA Desktop is still stuck with the "Download complete" note and doesn't let me launch the game, nor cancel the installation.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Download an update to a game.
What happens when the bug occurs? Update doesn't install after downloading and instead gets stuck after download.
What do you expect to see? Update should download and install without problems.
This happens more and more often, mostly with Apex and Sims 4 (tho I don't have many more games in EA/Origin anyway). EA Desktop says there is an update for a game and starts downloading as it should. The download usually goes fine but it never finishes installing and gets stuck on "Download complete." Sometimes restarting EA Desktop multiple times eventually solves the problem, sometimes stopping the installation and starting again works, sometimes I actually need to open Origin and update the game from there.
