Payments only going through for some things

Hi there. I'm trying to buy sims 4 expansions now the sale is on and initially was fighting with the app to let me bundle up until I decided to test purchase a kit on its own which went through without issue. Proceded to buy most of the dlc I wanted until I got down to the stuff packs and all of a sudden I was having errors again.

it's now asking me to sign in so I logged out of the ea app and signed in again only to be told once again "There was an issue accessing your account information please sign in and try again"

I've read about 50 threads and even got locked out of my amazon account earlier today  because I thought gift cards would be the solution to my troubles. I don't have my vpn on, the app and my card are both uk. I've checked it's not my bank throwing a fit, and like I said it has worked so long as I bought them individually until now.

in case it's relevant the exact packs I'm trying to buy are hs years, tiny living, knifty knitting, and the everyday clutter kit.

Edit to add: I have cleared the cache for other reasons and the error is still there
