Temporarily disable Bitdefender until the update is complete, thanks.

Hi @EA_Barry
I've just had this for the update too.
Disabling Bitdefender for a malware detection (and quarantine) surely can't be EA's solution.
Do we know if there is going to be a fix from EA for this?
Thanks,
MH
- STG_Mordin2 years agoRising Hotshot@mghty_haggis88 There's nothing to fix. BitDefender is trash, and shouldn't be trusted. If you disable it temporarily and then take the executable and upload it for scanning on virustotal.com you will see that there will be only 1-2 matches, both marked as heuristics scanning (basically guesswork, because heuristics doesn't rely on virus signatures but is trying to be "smart" and since it isn't smart it has a lot of false positives -- after all they want to keep you scared so they can keep selling you AV subscription).
Advice: Ditch BitDefender and use Windows Defender instead, it's free and good enough. If you really insist on paid AV, then get ESET, they are reliable and widely used in enterprises.
