app won't start at all just get the error message. games aren't available to me as I deleted the file hoping that was the issue and I had no long term saves to stress about.

Still getting the same error message; app crashed unexpectedly.
Have not been able to open the EA app and play the games I paid a lot of money for, for the past 3 day's!
How long do we have to wait?
I spoke with 3 EA advisors and literally reformatted my PC, and maybe lost all my gaming progress in the process. This is just not acceptable.
- 11 months ago@LovelySakuraDoll thats exactly what i did, its ridiculous the extent ea will have us go through but they cant just release a FIX for THEIR update that broke the app.

It is crazy how little customer service you get from EA. I am by no means an expert Re computing, so to have to do all of these things with my PC has been more than stressful the past few day's.
In other areas you would get some form of compensation, but EA users are just supposed to wait or give up on using their service? If I could, I would play Sims 4 via another provider....
Clearly, there are a lot of EA users with the same issue, and EA wants you to almost reformat your PC, before they fix things from their side.
We spent a lot of money on these games, and we can't even play them. Looking at this forum/feed there are some who have had this issue for over a month. And hardly any communication from EA!!

don't have the very first time because I tried multiple things before posting but the screenshot I posted was at 11:06am on 4/20/24

What is the current version of your EA app= Can not open the app at all but I have the most recent update that is when all this began
Please share in the thread = I do not have the id anymore although I have made at least 4 reports

Started happening to me April 22 at 12 am , I have the newest install of the app, I run on windows 10, I have tried clearing my cache, I have deleted and reinstalled the app, I have re started my computer. I am not sure the error code because it doesn't give me one. When I try to start the app or start sims a notification pops up that says the app unexpectedly crashed. I don't even get to the log in screen .

EA, as we cannot play games we own and have paid for, please at least acknowledge that you are aware of this error and that you're working on it... (even if you can't fix it straight away).
Just a reminder this thread is for people who are getting the app has crashed unexpectedly error.

first occured on the morning (italian time) of the 18th of april 2024, I'm using windows 7 and the error occure whenever i open the ea app ( i had installed the latest version)
