Hi everyone,
If you're still experiencing the "The app crashed unexpectedly" error in the EA app even after clearing the EA app cache (if possible), or repairing the EA app (only possible on Windows), please share the following requested data with us where possible:
Are you playing on a Windows PC or Mac:
If Windows, what Windows version are you using (click here on how to see this):
If Mac, what version of macOS are you using (click here on how to see this):
Timestamp when the issue first occurred (date/time):
When does the error occur (opening the EA app, starting a game via the EA app, Steam, Epic, or during gameplay?):
What is the current version of your EA app (check here on how to see this):
*Edit: if you can't open the client, you can't check this. That's okay!
Please share an EA app Error Reporter ID here in the thread:
Please share the most recent EA app logs and attach them to your post (check here on how to do this):
Many thanks in advance!
Additional Info:
The old thread discussing the same error for February 2024 has been closed.
Workarounds:
For a potential workaround to play The Sims 4 or other games that support Offline Mode, follow these steps: link.
Started happening to me April 22 at 12 am , I have the newest install of the app, I run on windows 10, I have tried clearing my cache, I have deleted and reinstalled the app, I have re started my computer. I am not sure the error code because it doesn't give me one. When I try to start the app or start sims a notification pops up that says the app unexpectedly crashed. I don't even get to the log in screen .

EA, as we cannot play games we own and have paid for, please at least acknowledge that you are aware of this error and that you're working on it... (even if you can't fix it straight away).
Just a reminder this thread is for people who are getting the app has crashed unexpectedly error.
