To anyone still having issues - I fixed it today in the most outlandish way I could possibly imagine. I had English US deleted from my PC language packs since I'm from the UK, installing this fixed EA App. Somehow.
Not sure what language you use normally, but I'd recommend grabbing English US or if you already do, any other random English pack you can find.
You find it in your Windows 10/11 settings.
