Hey everyone,
I totally understand the frustration of getting stuck at 14% while trying to download a game. I've been there, and after trying a bunch of different solutions, here’s what finally worked for me:
Stop and Cancel: First things first, cancel any ongoing downloads or updates in The EA App. You might need to be a bit patient here – wait until the app stops saying "cancelling" under "Installed games" on the left side.
Reset Cache: Once that’s done, go to the hamburger menu (three lines in the top left corner) and navigate to Help > App > Recovery > Reset Cache. The app will restart after this.
Check Install Location: This step made all the difference for me. Make sure your install location is set correctly to where you want the game to be downloaded. For instance, my app was installed on the C drive, but I wanted my games on the F drive, so I changed the install location to the F drive.
After following these steps, I was finally able to download Battlefield 2042 from scratch without any issues.
